Thinking about…

…a few issues happening as I was going through the store today and low and behold the Lord reminded me through a snippet of His Word tattooed on the inside forearm of a store clerk’s arm:

“Love is patient, love is kind…”

Yep! That’s all that it said and that is EXACTLY what I needed to be reminded of πŸ’•

I can’t wait to see her again -she works at a store that we are blessed to have money to buy food at πŸ™πŸ» I will make sure we have more conversation!

God is good ALL of the time-ALL of the time He is so good!!

We need…

… a heart change!

When we let Jesus change our hearts we are made new!!! πŸ™πŸ»πŸ’•πŸ™πŸ»πŸ’•πŸ™πŸ»πŸ’•

❀️ 2 Corinthians 5:17

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

❀️ Ezekiel 36:26

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

❀️ Romans 12:2

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

( and there are more verses beyond these in God’s Written Word!)

❀️ Matthew 24:35

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Jesus says so I believe Him!

Truth in Palmyra

Matthew 26

In chapter 26 of the Gospel of Matthew, we see one of the accounts of the Last Supper; we see the last Passover feast to be celebrated by Jesus before His crucifixion. Most readers will recognize this as the institution by Jesus of our current celebration of the Lord’s Supper. This, however, is not really a post about that, but something else.

Jesus had just announced in this passage that one of the disciples would soon betray him:

Matthew 26:21Β And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

The reaction from the men present was very telling, and I think we can learn some things from it. Immediately, they all began to wonder out loud who the betrayer was to be; isn’t that interesting?

No one had ANY clue that Judas Iscariot was to be the betrayer. If…

In the Aftermath

β€œPsalm 118:5 In my distress I prayed to the Lord,
and the Lord answered me and set me free.”

New Hope for Dry Bones

This morning, I sit here in the aftermath of a celebration. Here in this country, we celebrate the liberty and freedom afforded to us living here. It came at a cost. Men and women gave all so that we may have what we have today in the United States of America.

I wonder what those people would think about what we are doing to the gift they gave us.

Sunday in church, I was reminded that whatever men may give, whatever the price they pay, no matter the depths of emotion and devotion they feel, it is as fragile as a snowflake on a summer’s day. It will erode and fall away.

But Christ gave a gift, a gift far beyond what I credit him for giving. He put aside the things I cling so tightly to, revenge, anger, self-image, and became the worst of what I am while…

Ecclesiastes 3

“A time…”

3 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?

10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.

11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.

13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.

14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.

17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.

19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.

20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.

21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

22 Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

Old and gray haired? EMBRACE IT!

Society acts as if being elderly is a tragedy! All kinds of creams and surgeries out there to make a person look young- though it may make a person look young they ARE still old.

I had a grandma that was a little bitty German lady and she had a head of gray hair that I respected! She had the wisdom of God in her and didn’t care what the world thought! That little grey haired lady prayed for me and showed her faith when I thought she was crazy for believing in such a God!

I want to be like her!!! A little gray haired lady that prays for her children and grandchildren! That never waivers and always shares His GLORY with them when the situation calls for it πŸ™πŸ»πŸ’•

We need not be ashamed of growing old-for me and many others that have traveled down the deep, dark pit of depression and suicide-we have been blessed to have the Lord save us when we called out to Him! To allow us more time to learn about Him and share Him with others!!!

Old and gray haired? EMBRACE IT!!!

Proverbs 16:31
 – The hoary head [is] a crown of glory, [if] it be found in the way of righteousness.

Proverbs 20:29 – The glory of young men [is] their strength: and the beauty of old men [is] the gray head.
