~ Jesus Name Above All Names~ Shared post from Cheryl Haurick

WONDERFUL COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, THE KING OF KINGS, LORD OF LORDS….

Have A Wonderful & Blessed Day!!! Our Wonderful Counselor!!!

One of the fun things new parents get to do is find a name for the upcoming blessing. The birth of a new baby is so exciting, and naming the new baby while it is fun can also be overwhelming. Out of my ten grandbabies only three are boys; I love it because all three are Bible Names, Matthew, Joshua, and Josiah.

When we look at the names of our Precious Lord and Savior he has so many, I wonder if we can name all of them? Here are some:

Psalm 138

138 I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.

All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O Lord, when they hear the words of thy mouth.

Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the Lord: for great is the glory of the Lord.

Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

Readers know that I usually collect news stories for the weekend roundup, but sometimes a story requires a separate post all by itself, as in this case. On June 27th, a grieving family and friends gathered at Saint Mary Catholic Church in Newport, Maryland for the funeral mass for the late Agnes Hicks (photo center). […]

Psalm 86 ❤ ❤ ❤

86 Bow down thine ear, O Lord, hear me: for I am poor and needy.

Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.

Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.

In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.

All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

11 Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

14 O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.

15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

16 O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.

17 Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, Lord, hast holpen me, and comforted me.

“Ye are of God…”

MAY WE OVERCOME OTHERS WITH THE LOVE ON OUR HEARTS THAT COMES FROM GOD~I NEEDED THIS TODAY~GOD IS SO GOOD TO ANSWER US WHEN WE NEED HIM~ SO THANKFUL FOR THE SCRIPTURES THAT GIVE US HIS TRUTH AND LOVE FOR US!

“GOD IS LOVE” THERE IS NO DOUBT IN MY HEART ABOUT THAT  ❤ ❤ ❤

1 John 4

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

19 We love him, because he first loved us.

20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

~ Today’s heart felt question (s) ~

Today as the fourth of July is celebrated in our nation this verse from God’s Written Word jumped out at me…

2 Chronicles 7:14

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

*Then this question quickly followed:

“Will this nation of America EVER completely humble itself~pray~ seek God’s face~ and turn from their wicked ways?”

I do not know the answer to that question.  I do know many  individuals that do believe in God~do humble themselves~do pray~do seek God’s face~and do turn from their wicked ways.

If we as a nation are not listening to what the Good Lord says in 2 Chronicles 7:14 and obeying Him my next question is:

“How are we any better than any other nations?”

Is this verse of scripture for today, also? Or our we actually God’s “nation” as individuals joined together by the Blood of Jesus?

I would love to hear what anyone has to say ~

The Demonically Inspired ‘Pull’ of the Catholic Church: Don’t Listen to the Whispers of the Evil One — Absolute Truth from the Word of God

“I would rather hurt you with TRUTH that leads to your Salvation, than to tickle your ears with lies which condemn you to hell!”~ AMEN!

Through the years since I was born again (1983) I have seen many Catholics come to the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have rejoiced with them and encouraged them in their walk with the Lord. I saw the joy in their faces when they realized for themselves this very simple truth found […]

~ One God ~

Psalm 96:4-5

For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.

1 Corinthians 8:5-6

For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

idol

I’DOL, n. L. idolum; Gr. form or to see.

Just Imagine — Unshakable Hope

I hope you will check Bill’s blog out!

I saw the movie, “I Can Only Imagine” the other night. It’s a great biographical story about salvation and forgiveness. Writing movie reviews is not my thing, but I highly recommend this movie. After seeing the movie, I began thinking about the title of the song and the movie, “I Can Only Imagine.“ Bart Millard, […]
