Tone It Down…or Don’t!

Psalm 37:39 The Lord rescues the godly; he is their fortress in times of trouble. 40 The Lord helps them, rescuing them from the wicked. He saves them, and they find shelter in him.

New Hope for Dry Bones

Here, in this country, in these days there is a great wave of philosophy that says the Bible doesn’t mean what it says and that we as Christians should just tone it down. I have been asked to not post so much ‘Jesus stuff’ on Facebook a time or two. I have had friends mysteriously disappear.

For many, many decades of my life, I toned it down. I didn’t speak about what God did for me and I didn’t reach out to those that needed help and they didn’t reach out to me. After years of not speaking about what God did for me, I didn’t even see his hand in my life anymore. I became blind to him and after a while, I did whatever I wanted to do and didn’t give a hoot about what God wanted. I became isolated from other people emotionally and they all…

As we go out into the world today…

…let’s make sure we are “dressed” properly! Not just for our own good, but also for the good of those we may come in contact with that are skeptics 🙏🏻💕

Ephesians 6:10-18

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Throwback Thursday: Another evangelical pastor caves to ecumenical apostasy

He has also become a compromiser … shame 😞

Welcome to this week’s edition of “Throwback Thursday.” For today’s installment, we’re going to revisit a post that was originally published back on October 3th, 2015 and has been slightly revised.

Back in 2010, Pastor Robert Jeffress (photo above) of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas stated the Catholic church was an apostate church corrupted by the pagan Babylonian mystery religion:

“It is that Babylonian mystery religion that infected the early church, one of the churches it infected was the church of Pergamos, which is one of the recipients of the Book of Revelation. And the early church was corrupted by this Babylonian mystery religion, and today the Roman Catholic Church is the result of that corruption.”

Hear Jeffress’ 2010 remarks about the Catholic church here.

Now, let’s fast forward to 9/24/15. During pope Francis’ visit to America at that time, Jeffress appeared on Fox News’ Sean Hannity Show and revealed…

Strength Through Weakness

“Somehow, one of the most powerful testimonies to the truth of Christianity is given when Christians exhibit patience and joy and fruitfulness in the midst of suffering—wether that suffering be due to illness, or persecution, or loss, or any of a hundred situations that could be unbearable apart from Christ.”

My teachings ‘damaged a lot of people’, says Benny Hinn

Some comments made on Lighthouse Trails Research:

“My teachings ‘damaged a lot of people’, says Benny Hinn”: Zaccheus stopped and said to the Lord, “behold Lord, half of my possessions I will give to the poor and if I have defrauded anyone of anything I will give back four times as much.” (Luke 19:8) It’s easy to “repent” when you’ve already made your millions and get to keep them…but having said that, I hope he has. True repentance though is making restitution where possible, openly rebuking your past false teachings and aligning yourself with Christ and not the world any longer.” Pastor Carl

“My teachings ‘damaged a lot of people’, says Benny Hinn”: Glad to see that I’m not the only skeptical about this sudden so-called “repentance.” If he was truly repentant, he would give up more than half of what he has taken from those gullible Christians and give it to the widows and orphans. He should also repent of all the false teaching he’s done as well.” Nina
