    1. Do you remember the part where he was running? Then everyone started following him to come to that big ending with him? To hear what epiphany he maybe had to give? Running to and fro… then all of the sudden he STOPS running. No great words came out of him-nothing big happened … he just stopped dead in his tracks . All those that followed him all of the sudden had the weight of the world-so to speak -on their shoulders! They just experienced a big let down as he left them standing there with their jaws dropped to the ground! That’s exactly what I envisioned this man has done to many “followers”…

      1. Yes, I remember that scene. After my wife and I accepted Jesus as Savior, we attended a church where the pastor taught a lot of good truth, but was also a megalomaniac. I had to get out of there to preserve my sanity, but I also walked away from the Lord because I was so discouraged. Right, we must never put men up on pedestals, but many churches do exactly that and are personality cults. There’s a great danger with that. New Christians are very susceptible.

      2. Oh wow!!
I would love to find a small church that the pastor takes care of the Lord’s flock with truth and love-no sermon series-just a powerful convicting sermon that the pastor has been led by the Holy Spirit to give.
That is difficult to find-there is so much infiltration of keeping “numbers up” that the truth is only being told enough to make the people still “feel good” when hey leave 😔

      3. I remember many many years ago attending a Southern Baptist church in our area because I had too- I was 110% sure that preacher was looking at me during his sermon the whole time- like some how he knew me!! I couldn’t wait to get out of there LOL!
I know now- PRAISE THE GOOD LORD -I was being convicted by God’s Holy Spirit!

  1. Please excuse me. Shouldn’t this remind us all to Matthew 13 about the parable of The Seed and the Sower that Lord Jesus told the pharisees and the people around Him? And didn’t the Saviour explain the parable to His disciples only? Verses 18-23

    Food for thought:
1 When we are carrying the Name of our gentle Saviour in our heart do we really want to say good-bye?
2 Did the Holy Spirit indeed dwell within creating New Life?
3 Didn’t Lord Jesus knew at the beginning of His ministry that Judas Iscarioth would betray Him? When God knew everything before the foundation of this world? God who knows the present and oversees the future?

  2. So disturbing.

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
