” We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” (*2 Corinthians 5:8

Just curious to see what answers are out there ~no more~ no less 🙂

  1. No one really likes to go through pain and suffering. The struggle I believe comes from the flesh and its attachments to the things of this world. In Paul’s case on the other hand, he was torn because he wanted to be with the Lord and yet, he wanted to win more souls in service to Christ.

What’s interesting is that those people who’ve had Near Death Experiences have one thing in common when they had an out of body experience. They unanimously say they wanted to stay in that place and never come back and talk of being in the presence of unspeakable joy and love which somehow corroborate with Paul’s own out of body experience in 2 Corinthians 12:3-4, “And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows— 4 was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell.”

I do scrutinize NDE testimonies as some have mentioned details contrary to what’s revealed in Scripture but since we would live in the presence of the Lord, I believe once the soul leaves this corrupt body, its desire is to be around Him, the Creator.

    1. I agree!
When we have been shown through our faith in Him how great He truly is, would you think we should be clammering to get to Him when it is our time? That doesn’t mean we don’t love the people He has put in our lives it just means we love Him and want to be with Him over everyone else?
