  1. Good mornin Elizabeth.
The old king James version is all I use, and it’s the only bible version I trust.
But I used to be a modern version user, that is until I learned how Christ-assaulting the new versions are.
I appreciate you spreading the news about the baptists.
And I looked around on the website that you linked here, and they look like a very good resource.

    Lord bless you.

      1. Good mornin Elizabeth,
I was going to write an article about this, maybe I still will, I don’t know, but I’ll share my thought here anyway, since it’s related to your topic.

Have you noticed that heresies are supported by non king James versions?
        Denial of hell,
Repent of sins to be saved,

        Lord bless you.

  2. Elizabeth, the Southern Baptists convention has a ton of problems. For one thing the people are a lot more conservative than the preachers. It’s sad that the “Christian Standard Bible” translators (?) put being pc over faithfulness. However, many new versions are sound and their translators weren’t concerned with anything but making the Bible easier to read, just as the translators of the KJV were long ago for the people of their own day.

    1. Right I agree but, with all due respect, they have changed significant things. Now there are so many “Bibles” that we can pick what “suits” the way we want to live. ❤
I am not a "KJV Worshipper" 😉 but I prefer it over any other.

      1. Okay, sis. My view is this:

Most so-called study Bibles are money making ventures for publishers that are owned by big corporations.

About translations, such as the NIV, NKJV, NASB, these are just new translations that are sound theologically and exalt the Lord Jesus.

The Southern Baptist Convention’s new gender neutral Bible is a fraud. Lifeway, their publishing arm, and has a chain of bookstores, is simply a money-maker. The first time I entered a Christian bookstore where a whole shelf was devoted to teaching modules by Beth Moore I knew there was something very wrong.

The KJV is sound and also beautiful. Because I’d been with KJV only Christians at the blog of an ardent KJV only person and seen the controversy there, I studied a good book about the controversy and learned that there are other solid translations.

About the SBC, unless the Lord intervenes it’s on its way to shipwreck.

  3. I was reminded of this verse of scripture when I read what you stated about the SBC on it’s way to being a shipwreck:

    2 Timothy 3:5-7

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Speaking of shelves of stuff of Beth Moore’s I no longer go into our huge “Christian” book/gift store! Since The Lord allowed me to be born again I see that it is full of everything from statues-to Beth Moore-to Joel Osteen and every other imaginable thing that has “leavened the whole lump”.
