“Moreover, it is a deeply troubling development because it is impossible to see a linear and coherent connection between this Marian devotion and the more sobering account of what the Bible actually says about Mary.”

  1. You know somethin? Last night, just to verify what I understood was true, I was reading stuff about roman catholicism. And they take Mary idolatry to a whole level of extreme that I hadn’t realized. It’s sick!
She ascended into heaven, body and soul? Are you kidding me?
Mother of God? (I know that Jesus is God). But the way they view Mary is a whole different way than I see her. Immaculate conception???
Man they’ve got some twisted doctrine don’t they?
Then they’ve got papal ex cathedra infallibility.
Can you tell me with a straight face that you believe that nonsense? (rhetorical)
The pope’s words are infallible? That’s blasphemy in addition to stupidity.
He needs to get rid of his klan clothes, and go get a job like every other man has to.

    And good mornin 😃

    1. Too bad I can’t give you more than one LIKE for this comment, Lee! It does boggle the mind…So many want the religious pomp and the feeling that they are doing something spiritual to win God’s favor that they can’t see the ridiculousness of their beliefs compared with the simplicity of the Gospel. And that makes them afraid to believe otherwise (i.e., the Scriptures) for their salvation through Christ ALONE.
