“…harden not your hearts.”

Have you ever wondered why some feel God’s convictions through His Holy Spirit and some do not? For some reason I need that answer. So soul searching time it is. Feel free to post what ever you may have been shown about this topic, please. Corrections accepted.

I have been looking back on my own life to see if I could find the answer in my own actions towards the Lord. I have discovered there were many times I was being convicted of something and walked away. Trying to ignore it. I could ignore the conviction by saying “God still loves me anyway”. I could make it go away temporarily by looking to the world~feeding my fleshly desires. I believe looking back it was mostly a pride thing for me.  I remember thinking “people are going to think I am crazy! “. I remember being concerned they were not going to like me for following the Lord’s way.

I have to say that I feel blessed to have had those convictions never stopped. I was able to escape them for a time. But they truly never disappeard. The Lord never let up and I am so thankful He didn’t turn me over to a reprobate mind.

God loves us so much that He gave His Only Begotten Son. When Jesus was resurrected and seated at the right hand of God the Father a Comforter was sent (Just as Jesus promised He would do) in His place to convict us and guide us through the narrow way straight to God the Father through Jesus.

And we “worry” about what others are going to think of us? God will judge us for listening or not listening~obeying or disobeying. Do not spend or waste any more time away from the Lord our God. Worry about what the Lord our God says not man and his vain deceit and philosophy’s.

I would rather pay the price of man’s rejection now than the Lord’s rejection for an eternity.

Today seek what God’s holy word speaks to us in Hebrews 3:15 “While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.”

I’ve thought about not posting about Christmas this year, but have decided to because of seeing that it’s needed. Please research the history of this holiday – Christ Mass – and don’t dismiss the testimony of so many protestants and evangelicals of the past, people who understood that we can’t celebrate this holiday for the Lord because He didn’t ask us to, and that we should worship Him only in the ways He told us to.

In Jesus’ love,

Maria

That's right kids, close your eyes and ears.

Can you worship God in the ways that pagans worship their gods?

The Christmas Story You Don’t Want to Hear

A lot of Christians believe that Christmas is about the celebration of the birth of Yahshua [Yeshuah – Jesus] our Messiah. This belief stems from traditions that have been passed down through the generations… This article will investigate the concepts of the Christmas season and its origins.”

About those idols.

“The Shelf Behind The Door”

When first I came to Jesus
With my load of guilt and sin
I asked Him to forgive me
And He freely took me in
He cleansed my soul from idols
And filled my heart with joy
And gives me peace and happiness
Old Satan can’t destroy

The shelf behind the door
The shelf behind the door
Tear it down, throw it out
Don’t use it any more
For Jesus wants His temple clean
From ceiling to the floor
He even wants the corners clean
Just in behind the door

There’s many people of today
Profess to love the Lord
They say, their doing all His will
And trusting in the Word
But yet their always grumbling
Do you know the reason why?
Tis, because they have some idols
That they’re keeping on the sly

Some love the filthy weed, you know
And some the social glass
Some say, they’d rather dance than eat
Some idolize their dress
And ‘er they get their hearts put right
They give the constant o’er
And put them on that little shelf
That’s in behind the door

O, how the Gospel chariot would
Go sweeping through the land
O, how the Christian soldiers
They would fight at God’s command
O, how the work of Jesus
Would spread from shore to shore
If it were not for that little shelf
That’s in behind the door

James 4:7-10
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil,
and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will
draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify
your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and
weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy
to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord,
and he shall lift you up.

VERY SERIOUS WORDS.

Christmas Free~Year #3 Sharing with love.

When I was led out of the practice of Catholicism by God’s Holy Spirit questions starting coming to me about the celebration of Christmas. As born again believers we know exactly where to go to get God’s trusted answers. Right. God’s Written Word!

2 Timothy 3:16-17

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Because the Lord says no where in HIS Word to remember Him the way the world likes to (their way not His) and even those that don’t believe in or on Him celebrate it with “believers”, my conscience won’t allow me. I feel very strongly that the Lord has convicted me of this through the many questions (and answers) I have had laid upon my heart that don’t make any sense about the supposed celebration of the birth of Jesus GOD’s Only Begotten Son.

That being said I won’t debate. We are not to debate what we know has been laid upon us. We are to trust Him and obey Him. Not argue with others. Jesus never argued. He said what He said and that was it. Sometimes silence is answer enough.

If you have been wanting to stop just remember when you think you are “standing alone” you are not alone- the Holy Spirit is with you and will give you any necessary words to say. One thing the Holy Spirit has led me to say  when someone tries to reason how they “feel” is this: “It is not about you and I and about how we “feel”-faith is not based on how we feel- It is about The Lord our God and what HE says and leads us to do.”

I was very surprised to learn that many believers have had pretty much the same experience as I have.

I will tell you this it was not easy at first. Each year grows easier as we learn we are giving testimony more by not celebrating than we are  by following the hoopla of  the world. We are in the world not of it.

If you are a believer and don’t “feel” the same way that I have been shown that is between you and the Lord. Just like NOT celebrating is between me and The Lord.

Seek the truth and remember the words Jesus Himself has spoken:

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Jesus also tells us we are to simply worship God in spirit and truth in John 4:24 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

Oh, and yes…I LOVE THE LORD VERY MUCH! He is my ROCK of  SALVATION!

Please be patient with me.

Our laptop is on the “fritz”.  I am on an iPad right now. I am  sure I am missing some good blog posts you all are posting on your blogs! I am sure I have missed responding to any comments you have all so kindly left. Please be patient with me.  We share the iPads -one mini (my eyes don’t do to well with 👀 ) and the large iPad -well everyone wants to use it so we are learning how to take turns again 👍 !

I will see if the laptop needs a battery or a new cord asap!

P. S. I keep hearing Psalm 23 over and over in my head.

Psalm 23

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Amen and Amen

“…that your joy may be full.”

1 John 1

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

KNOWING THIS AND BEING ABLE TO CELEBRATE HIM EVERYDAY-SIMPLY-TRUTHFULLY-WITHOUT THE “HOOPLA” IS SO NICE! REST SWEET REST! ALL BECAUSE OF HIM-HIS SHED BLOOD FOR OUR SINS-AND HIS RISING FROM THE DEAD TO SIT AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD THE FATHER!

“To day if you will hear his voice,…”

Psalm 95

95 O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.

5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.

6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.

7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,

8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.

10 Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:

11 Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

“I AM REDEEMED! I AM SET FREE! I AM NOT WHO I USE TO BE! Thank You, Jesus!”

**Ephesians 1:6-7 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Excellent heart felt song proclaiming our redemption through what God has done for us through His Only Begotten Son~ Jesus! Be prepared for the emotions to flow! If your day is looking not so good remember-WE ARE REDEEMED! We need to live like it! It’s a JOY like no other! We that are redeemed -and born again-should be shouting it to the mountain tops! Those that don’t know Jesus should be saying to us, “I WANT WHAT YOU GOT!”!

HE IS SOOOO GOOD TO US!

“WE NEED TO STOP FIGHTING THE FIGHT THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN WON!”

Seems like all I can see was the struggle
Haunted by ghosts that lived in my past
Bound up in shackles of all my failures
Wondering how long is this gonna last
Then You look at this prisoner and say to me “son
stop fighting a fight that’s already been won”

I am redeemed, You set me free
So I’ll shake off theses heavy chains
Wipe away every stain now I’m not who I used to be
I am redeemed

All my life I have been called unworthy
Named by the voice of my shame and regret
But when I hear You whisper, “Child lift up your head”
I remember oh God, You’re not done with me yet

I don’t have to be the old man inside of me
Cause his day is long dead and gone
I’ve got a new name, a new life I’m not the same
And a hope that will carry me home.
